Abstract/Notes During the first half of last century, the majority of graduate chiropractors practising in Australia received their qualifications at the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. The academic and clinical training are not covered in this paper, which looks at another part of the students' experience "”the learning climate", the extracurricular activities, such as sports, self-improvement groups, Greek letter societies, fraternal orders, other organisations and entertainments that evolved at the Palmer campus and helped to forge the Palmer tradition
