Abstract/Notes Frederick repeatedly asked himself 1“what went wrong”. He was becoming obsessive; with every new patient he wondered if he or she was going to sue as well. It wasn't really his fault, Frederick told himself. What happened do Sonia was a known complication; statistically, it happened once every 5,000 times the procedure was performed. Sonia was just unlucky and he was not negligent. Why wouldn't she just accept that fact? Why couldn't number 5,000 happen to another practitioner.
