Abstract/Notes

This case study presents a patient diagnosed with hypercholesterolemia from his primary care physician who had been prescribed a statin. The patient sought conservative care for alternatives to the prescribed medication, but declared intervention should be with minimal changes to his current dietary or lifestyle habits. Additionally, the patient would not obtain labs not covered under his insurance. This case report highlights a concern in the patient population for common nutritional issues with nutritional supplementation and lifestyle change resistance and manners in which they are addressed.
