Abstract/Notes

Patients with generalized musculoskeletal pain present a diagnostic dilemma for the chiropractor. All too often, the practitioner assumes mechanical causes for these symptoms.

On rare occasions, Paget’s disease accounts for chronic diffuse lumbosacral backache in older individuals, and practitioners must include this disease in their differential diagnosis. In this report, we present two such cases with a discussion of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of Paget’s disease.
