Abstract/Notes Day demonstrates that the rise of chiropractic at the Olympics began in the late 1970s. Despite the continued recalcitrance of medical doctors, chiropractors were able to gain an increasing role as part of the healthcare team largely because of the athletes repeated requests for chiropractic treatment. Gradually, a more positive relationship between MDs and DCs began to develop with the mutual goal of maximizing athletic achievement. The future for chiropractic at the Olympics looks bright.
