Abstract/Notes Excerpt: The Fall 2011 issue of Topics in Integrative Health Care marks the beginning of our second year of publication. In this issue we present articles touching on various aspects of the need for integrative approaches to health care. These include a report from a chiropractic practice-based research program on prevention and health promotion procedures and cross-disciplinary referrals; the results of a survey of chiropractors on health promotion and prevention-related issues; a case report on interdisciplinary management of non-cardiac chest pain; a case report on sports-related head injuries; a clinical brief on fibromyalgia, a complex condition requiring a multidisciplinary approach to care; and a clinical brief on recognition of dependent adult abuse, an issue that also requires cross-disciplinary attention.
