Excerpt: Here is a most alarming article from Germany. It is comparing relief of acute low back pain treated with high velocity low amplitude spinal manipulation to NSAID drugs (Diclofenac) and placebo. The high velocity adjustment was far superior in relief to drugs. What is most interesting is that this is the lead article in Spine (Volume 38, Number 7, April 1, 2013) was done by Medical Doctors performing the spinal manipulation. Our profession has spent over one hundred years perfecting such treatment and having done so - the medical profession takes it over without even a mention of Chiropractic. My opinion is that if our profession submitted this paper to Spine, it would be rejected on the basis that it was biased.
