Abstract/Notes

Objective: To describe the resolution of infertility following chiropractic care in a female medically diagnosed as infertile.

Clinical Features: A 32-year-old female with a history of infertility presented for chiropractic care. The patient also suffered from abdominal, neck and head pain.

Interventions and Outcomes: The patient received spinal adjustments using a number of techniques that included Activator, Sacro-Occipital, ArthroStim and Vibracussor. The patient attended care twice over a six-week period after which she reported as being pregnant. Vertebral subluxations were found at C1-C2, C4-C5, T6, T12, L1-L5 and the sacroiliac joint.

Conclusion: Through the use of chiropractic adjustments to reduce the patient’s vertebral subluxations, the patient was able to conceive naturally. Chiropractic may be beneficial to those patients experiencing subfertility. We support further research in the care of similar patients.
