Abstract/Notes
An overview of radioisotopic scanning with regard to its diagnostic usefulness in chiropractic practice is presented. This procedure is valuable in that it is highly sensitive to marginal metabolic alterations arising within target tissues. Radioisotopic scanning can detect as little as 3-5 per cent change in bone metabolism making this process considerably more efficient than conventional radiographic imaging. This article introduces bone scanning, its value and interest to the chiropractic practitioner.
