Excerpt: The
Easter Seal Society has published an excellent book, which deals with role of the primary care physician in pediatric orthopaedics. In general, the book outlines the natural course of growth and development, thereby recognizing what is normal and what is abnormal for a particular age group. From the chiropractor's point of view, I found this book very simplistic, but essential. I have seen too many instances of inappropriate courses of manipulation for conditions that either will not respond, or are, in fact, part of the
child's normal development. This book can help the chiropractor to avoid these pitfalls.
