Abstract/Notes

Objective: To report on the resolution of otitis media in a child following chiropractic care.

Clinical Features: An 8-year-old female was presented with complaints of ear pain, sinus discomfort, and neck pain. She was assessed for vertebral subluxations through palpation and technique specific analyses. Vertebral subluxations were identified in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal regions.

Intervention & Outcomes: The patient received Diversified chiropractic care. Her otitis media improved and was completely resolved by the third visit. She also showed improvement in her other symptomatology.

Conclusion: This case report demonstrated resolution of otitis media in a pediatric patient. This warrants further investigation to fully understand the long term affects chiropractic care can have on a similar patient population.
