Abstract/Notes | Narrative abstract: The sheer volume of medical, physiological and clinical citations presented in this paper demonstrate the degree of recognition within the medical and related literature of the chiropractic model of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex. This literature is additional to that from the chiropractic perspective which is available in the electronic Index to Chiropractic Literature. This paper demonstrates the tacit acknowledgement and weight of recognition of the vertebrogenic effect of physical, biomechanical, and physiological vertebral disturbances. We demonstrate that the clinical practices of chiropractic, manipulative medicine and osteopathy collectively We present the preponderance of papers from the field of manipulative medicine which support the chiropractic nomenclature, neurophysiological and clinical implications of the Vertebral Subluxation Complex.
