| Abstract/Notes |
Benson S. Bullis, a native Canadian and later a famer in Minnesota, claimed he was involved with chiropractic during its foundational years in Davenport, Iowa. He stated he knew D.D. Palmer and personally discussed the Lillard event and the spinal cause of disease discovered by Palmer. Bullis became an early chiropractic practitioner and, like so many of Palmer's early students, became an instructor in chiropractic. He taught in both St. Louis, Missouri, and Oakland, California, where he opened a school. At one point, Bullis stated he was the oldest practitioner in the profession. If his claims of being with Palmer in 1895 Davenport are true, he would be another of the 23 disciples of Palmer to be documented.
