Abstract/Notes

A female patient complaining of frozen shoulder syndrome requested care at the Sid E. Williams Research Center. Examinations revealed severely restricted range of motion in the left shoulder with associated severe muscle weakness in the left arm, forearm and hand. Grip strength was used to monitor muscle strength. A chiropractic examination indicated subluxations of the upper cervical spine. The patient was adjusted using the Life Cervical Adjusting Instrument. Within five days grip strength in the left arm increased 100%. One month after initiation of care the pain in the shoulder was "much improved" and the range of motion was normal. The patient was monitored over a twelve month period and continued to show significant improvement in both grip strength and in her symptomatic picture.
