Abstract/Notes Multiple sclerosis is an imflammatory disease of the central nervous system, characterized by the focal destruction of myelin, with vision or speech disturbances, parasthesias, and extremity weakness. This retrospective study describes a review of five years of patient files, identifying individuals with a chief complaint containing multiple sclerosis. From these, only those files in which the subject history extended three years preceding care, the total observation extended at least one year, and subject outcomes in care were recorded in sufficiently objective terms to evaluate the improvement in functional health status and qualtiy of life. Toggle-Recoil Technique was used as the treatment method in all cases. Twenty petient files in which multiple sclerosis was the chief complaint were identified. Of these, four cases met the inclusion criteria. Three of the four cases reported a significant trauma to the spine preceded the diagnosis. All subjects reported outcomes indicating improvement functional health status and quality of life.
