Abstract/Notes

Objective: This case study describes the effects of subluxation-based chiropractic care on the management of a 29-year-old female with Raynaud’s Syndrome.

Clinical Features: A 29-year-old female presented to a private chiropractic practice for the primary complaint of cold, stiff hands with discoloration for the previous 10 years. The patient was additionally experiencing intermittent stiffness in the upper thoracic and lumbar spine and was also seeking care for these secondary conditions. No family history of a similar primary condition was noted in the patient’s case history.

Intervention & Outcome: The patient was compliant with subluxation-based chiropractic care for 11 weeks utilizing the Pierce Results SystemTM (PRS). Thermography assessments were utilized at each of 15 chiropractic visits to monitor pre-adjustment pattern analysis for care. Both pre and post x-ray studies were utilized to show correction of abnormal curvature of the cervical spine and abnormal positioning of the pelvis. The results of the Thermography scans at the 15th chiropractic office visit showed significant thermal thus resulting in improved neurological function and symptom abatement due to Raynaud’s Phenomenon.

Conclusion: This case report serves the purpose of showing the effectiveness and objective results of utilizing the PRSTM method of subluxation-based chiropractic care in a patient with Raynaud’s Syndrome. The proper analysis and reduction of vertebral subluxation in the central nervous system using a systematic and structural approach is the basis of PRSTM chiropractic care leading to an optimally function nervous system.
