Objective: The purpose of this case study is to describe the positive health outcomes following chiropractic in a patient suffering from constipation.

Clinical Features: A 54-year-old female patient complaining of constipation that she has experienced for eight months. She reported that her bowel
movements have become infrequent and hard to pass. The patient stated that she has had less than three bowel movements per week, and she feels a constant sense of bloating in her stomach without any associated pain.

Intervention and Outcomes: Diversified technique, utilizing a high-velocity, low-amplitude adjustment, was applied throughout patient care at vertebral segments C1, C2, T6, L4, and sacro-iliac joints. After one month of care, the patient was able to pass bowel movements at least once per day.

Conclusions: This case study demonstrated a reduction of symptoms pertaining to constipation after receiving chiropractic care. This case suggests
the importance of conducting further research to demonstrate the effectiveness of chiropractic in co-managing patients suffering from constipation.
