Abstract/Notes

The introduction of the printing press marked a significant turning point in human history. It signaled the end of the Middle Ages and spurred the Renaissance. In the United States in the 1920s, the newspaper was still the main method by which the American public received the majority of their information. B.J. Palmer was quick to capitalize on the trend and built what he referred to as the prettiest little printing plant in American on the Palmer campus. The Palmer Printery disseminated the materials and viewpoints of the Palmer School, helping maintain it as the epicenter of the chiropractic profession for its 50 years of putting ink to paper.
