Abstract/Notes

In 1676, the German physician Michael Ettmuller wrote "Casus LVIII Subluxatio Vertebralis Dorsi (Subluxation of the Dorsal Vertebrae)," an article about dorsal subluxation and the compressive effects the subluxation had on the intervertebral foramen (I.V.F.), this in turn caused organ dysfunction. This is likely one of the earliest articles that describes the detrimental effects the subluxation had on the internal organs by pressure and compression on the I.V.F. The article also describes various manipulative procedures used at that time to correct the subluxation. The original Latin article is translated to English and is included in this article in order that the reader can review the case in detal
